 For the last two years, patriots from all across the country have become engaged in the political process for the sake of preserving liberty. While we have made some great strides, our work is far from finished.
Holding Congress accountable
Our country is at a financial crossroads. Yet, neither side of the political aisle is really taking the lead on putting the country back on the right track, which is why we must once again show them that the American people will not stand idly by as they recklessly spend away the future of our children.
Over the next few months, the political courage of those in Congress, particularly the Republicans, will be tested as they face decisions about the budget and spending cuts. Seeing their recent actions in passing mediocre spending reforms, we must remain steadfast in holding them accountable to their campaign promises to stop the out-of-control spending and restore fiscal sanity.
We must demand that Congress get serious about addressing our country’s fiscal crisis and making the deep, needed cuts to the budget.
Pushing for healthcare freedom
The Health Care Compact Alliance, in conjunction with Tea Party Patriots, has launched a nationwide campaign to enact interstate Health Care Compact across the nation. With more than 35 states currently pursuing the initiative, we are proud to announce that Ohio is one of the states leading the way. Because of your hard work over the last two years, we are reclaiming our national and state capitols for liberty and freedom! It is your passion and commitment that are fueling these victories. We want to thank you for all of your efforts. We could not do this without all of you.
Stay engaged
As we move forward, we need to remember that the battle to restore our country to its founding principles will not be easy. Like Samuel Adams said, it takes an “irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds” to prevail. Stay engaged, keep fighting – the Tea Party Revolution must continue to ensure our future freedoms. |
