2009 was a defining year for our country politically. Having unanimous control of the House, Senate and Executive Office, the liberals in Washington eagerly sought to pass legislation that would seize greater control of our liberties and livelihood. However, they underestimated the power of the American people.
Fed up with the government’s anti-free market, big government principles and fiscal irresponsibility, citizens across the nation came together last spring to form one of the greatest grassroots movements ever – the Tea Party movement. Since then, millions of Americans have joined the cause. From tea party rallies and town halls to marches on DC, the movement has given people the courage to express their outrage over Congress’ defiance for our Constitution and We the People and to take action.
As we begin 2010, the momentum of the Tea Party movement must continue to build. It is important that we continue to fight the good fight for our liberty and freedom depend on it.
2010 Medina Tax Day Tea Party: It’s time to clean house On April 15, 2010, the Medina Tea Party Patriots will be hosting another Tax Day Tea Party in Medina. We invite you to join us on the Square from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. as we send a clear message to the liberals and RINOs in Washington – “Pack up, because you’re being shipped home.” For more information, please visit our Tax Day Tea Party page.
Overview for the year Prepare for a long battle. With healthcare, Cap and Trade and now amnesty on the legislative slate, those in Congress are going to try to jam everything through before the 2010 election. We need to remain vigilant to the cause. Our national coordinators as well as all the local tea party coordinators are working to devise action steps and events to help fight the tyranny that’s taking place.
Join the Tea Party movement If you would like to join us in helping restore conservative principles to our nation, please sign up for our e-mail action alerts and updates. We also encourage you to visit the national Tea Party Patriots site.
